Your personal information will not be passed on, leased, sold, rented, or otherwise made available to any third party except to:
- Confirm the authenticity of a client's Deed Poll to external organisations
- Comply with requests made by UK law enforcement agencies under section 29(3) of the Data Protection Act 1998 for the purpose of preventing or detecting a crime, or to assist in the apprehension or prosecution of offenders

Storage of financial information
UK Deed Poll Office does not currently store financial information (credit card numbers) nor do we intend to do so in the future.
- On-line payments: At no point in the on-line transaction process do we actually record or store your credit or debit card information. Card details submitted on our website are passed to the secure payment server of our Payment Service Provider for authorisation. Members of staff never have direct access to your financial information.
- Telephone payments: Telephone payments are handled in much the same way as an on-line transaction. Your card details are entered into the payment terminal interface of our Payment Service Provider without the financial information being written down or recorded in any other way. Once authorisation for the transaction has been received, the secure session is terminated and we no longer have access to your card details.
How your information is stored
Information received as part of a Deed Poll application is stored in a secure password-protected database which can only be accessed by computers which are within our private network. Your information is transmitted to that database using Secure Socket Layer technology to ensure maximum security.
Physical copies of your application information, such as printed versions, will be destroyed once your application has been successfully processed.
